Background

Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is an enzyme used for chemical reactions which produce peroxide. The enzyme is routinely conjugated to antibodies for use in enzyme-based immunoassay systems. It is used to amplify signals and enhance a target’s detectability. Anti-HRP antibodies reliably detect HRP, and each antibody is validated for use in Immunohistochemistry, Western Blotting and ELISA.

Peroxidase [Horseradish]
Anti-Peroxidase is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above.  Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Rabbit Serum as well as purified and partially purified Peroxidase [Horseradish].  Cross reactivity against Peroxidase from other tissues and species may occur but have not been specifically determined.
