Background

Mouse IL-27/p28 Subunit, also known as Interleukin-30, is a member of the IL-12 family of cytokines. When combined with EBI3 (Epstein-Barr virus induced gene 3), the heterodimer formed is IL-27. Mouse p28 is a proinflammatory cytokine inducing immunomodulatory effects. Current research is underway to delineate specific biological functions. Recombinant mouse p28 is a single-chain 207 amino acid peptide with a mass of approximately 23,697 Daltons.

Application Note: IL-27/p28 protein has been tested by SDS-PAGE and is suitable as a control for polyclonal or monoclonal anti-IL-27/p28 in immunological assays. Buffer Formulation: 10 mM sodium bicarbonate, pH 8.5.

Storage Condition: Store vial at 4° C prior to restoration. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Maintain sterility. This product DOES NOT contain preservative. DO NOT VORTEX. We recommend adding a carrier protein such as HSA or BSA to 0.1% (i.e. 1.0 mg/mL) . For best results aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or colder. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge vial before each opening to dislodge contents from the cap and to clarify if contents are not clear after standing at room temperature.
