DNA Calf Thymus Description

Background
DNA from Calf Thymus is commonly used in the preparation of prehybridization and hybridization solutions. Ideal for DNA Polymeras Assays. These prepared solutions are used to block the non-specific attachment of probe to the surface of a membrane. The DNA solutions are prepared from highly pure, phenol/chloroform-extracted DNA and DNase-free and RNase-free (DEPC-treated) distilled, deionized water.
Storage Condition
Store DNA from calf Thymus at 4° C prior to restoration. For extended storage aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below.vAvoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Application Note
Calf Thymus DNA is suitable for use as a substrate for deoxyribonuclease assays and other molecular biological techniques.
Purity/Specifity
Specially prepared by a method that removes contaminating RNA and protein
