Fluorescein Conjugates

Rockland Immunochemicals produces avidin, streptavidin, purified proteins and antibodies conjugated to fluorescein. All fluorescein conjugates are coupled to crystalline chemically activated derivatives of fluorescein under optimal conditions. Activated fluorescein is fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) or diamino-tri-azinyl-amino fluorescein (DTAF) which have identical adsorption and emission wavelengths. The molar ratio of fluorochrome to protein (F/P ratio) in the conjugate ranges from 2 to 5. Fluorescein-antibody conjugates can be used in cytochemistry for the localization of organelles, cell sorting, and antigen detection. Fluorescein conjugated products are 0.22 µm filtered and are lyophilized in 10 mg/ml Bovine Serum Albumin (Polyethylene glycol for anti-Bovine antibodies), 0.02M phosphate buffer, 0.15M sodium chloride, 0.01% (w/v) sodium azide pH 7.2. Always reconstitute the product with distilled water as stated on the product data sheet provided with each order.
